"George Lewis has been studying the sway line between jazz and contemporary classical thinking, and the potentially dangerous polymorphism has won here... His own voyage is still convincing, but fortunately not May appear on the court." - Jazz

"A simple glimpse of the rich world and thoughts of Muharl Richard Abrams." - Under the shot

"AACM's main conceptualists, [Roscoe Mitchell] ] With a solid foundation of experience, even in his weirdest places, he always allows you to clearly see the formal issues he is trying to solve." - The New York Times

Muharl Richard Abram The recordings of George Lewis or Roscoe Mitchell can be notified and celebrated. The recording of their trio is a historic musical moment. AACM founder Abrams; the founder of the Chicago Art Ensemble Mitchell; and MacArthur Grant's "genius" winner Lewis, the trio set record for the first time! About these three men have written enough content to fill the history of jazz and creative music, but these music files can tell us the most. Here, we recorded five works in the spring of 2005 to explore the elements of interest to all three composers: electronics, open performance, contemporary classical music, jazz and the use of space.

"Scrape" is characterized by each artist performing on his notorious instrument: piano, trombone and saxophone. "Bound" is a duo between Mitchell and Lewis, who works on his sampling and electronic devices. As the music enters the "Dramaturns," Abrams opens an interesting descending line, starting a duo between him and Lewis. The last two songs contain trio music, which combines the sound of percussion and birds. All three people regard this moment as a historical moment. Pi Recordings is very happy to release this music. The brand hopes that this is not the last chance to do so. They are happy to say that there is enough satisfaction here.
