"Hope to treat liver disease in dogs"
This website is owned and operated by author Cyndi Smasal
This book addresses canine liver disease -
The fifth largest cause of non-accidental deaths between dogs!
I was very frustrated when my veterinarian entered the examination room and told me that my dog had only been living for less than a month. But I did not give up. I think I have nothing to lose. My dog's life is also available. I do my best to save my dog and it's work. The results of my research, trials and errors, and the ultimate success of the treatment of Norman's liver disease are reflected in the book "Let's cure your dog's liver disease - the complete story." I wrote this book for people who like you. They like their dog and want to find a way to save them. This book has the answer you are looking for.
The hope of healing liver disease includes a personal story about Norman (I was 10 and a half year old cocker spaniel) and how I fight canine liver disease. The veterinarian gave him a month of life. After the treatment described in this book, he was healed within 3 months and lived again for 2 years without any further liver problems. I put a lot of information in all the studies in an easy-to-read, concise book that will help you take care of your dog.
This is the third edition of this book. I don't think I'll update it again after the last update, but I find new information. I want to make sure that everyone reading my book has the latest and best information. The situation has changed since I wrote my first edition in 2003 and updated it in 2007. Many new supplements are designed specifically for the dog's liver disease, and vets are now more accepting alternatives.
What makes my book particularly easy to read and have specific instructions. Most of the information on the Internet is technical, and you must look at several websites to get all the information you need to bring your own treatment together. Now, some old articles and web pages are wrong without these updates. This book contains the latest information on canine liver disease.
Learn what foods and supplements can protect, reverse, and heal liver damage. And discover the miracle diet that inspired this book. This book includes 10 healthy homemade dog food recipes that you can use to help your dog live longer. In addition, you will learn how to create a homemade dog food recipe that suits your dog.
Learn why liver disease usually improves before any symptoms are discovered. Learn how to take care of your sick dog and the symptoms that need attention. And how to treat possible liver-related diseases.
This book has been read by many people and has helped extend the lives of thousands of dogs. I received emails from people who use my books to save the lives of their dogs. It can help you.
My book does not have the answer to any type of liver disease, but it has a positive effect on the treatment of the liver, whatever the cause of the problem. Your veterinarian can work with you to determine the best treatment plan, but dogs that are not harmed in this book will be harmed. This is safe. It is well tested. (Reading some of the recommendations) Veterinarians now have better medication for liver disease, but they have not used everything possible. They are making great progress, but you can still do more. This book covers all methods that can treat liver diseases.
The main thing I want to give you is hope. It is possible to improve your dog's quality of life and duration. Liver disease is not necessarily the death penalty.
You can do what I do and do your own research. Canine liver disease can be treated with diet and supplements. I know you may be worried about your dog now and hope to learn as soon as possible. I can save you a lot of time. All the information you need is in my book. Order ebooks now to start helping your dog today. In addition, there is a Quick Start Guide that you can use immediately.

"Have the honour of getting the love of an old dog." - Sydney Jenny Seward
Close to Christmas in 2001, I have been telling me deep inside that there is something wrong with Norman. I think the worst. "It must be cancer. He will die. I just know it." I finally decided to face my fear of the most scared, and took him to the vet. I took him to the same veterinarian who he had watched for eight years. The symptoms I describe are: excessive alcohol consumption, accidental (hyperuric), vomiting, diarrhea (soft stools), and blood spots in vomit. Dr. X made a blood test and came back to tell me that he had liver disease. I asked what is the treatment of liver diseases. He said that he has nothing to do. The next step is to determine how bad and how far the ultrasound is done. Norman also took Rimadyl on his hips and knees to treat arthritis pain. Dr. X told me not to give Norman anymore because it may be harmful to the liver. So, I arranged an ultrasound, stopped Rimadyl, and began to give Norman a prescription food to treat liver disease.
Norman seems to get worse next week. He swelled like a balloon weighing 34 pounds. I thought he would pop him so big. I took him in again to see what the vet could do. A different veterinarian (Dr. Y) saw him and said the fluid should not be removed and the body will absorb it. Ultrasound was consulted with Doctor X when he was in this state of tummy when Norman was undergoing ultrasound
. They decided not to perform a biopsy because the liver was too small, the fluid was too much, and the prognosis was not good. Dr. X did not see any advice to spend more money on the dying dog
I started taking Norman, checking Doctor X or Doctor Y every week to check Norman's blood levels [19659002] Last time I saw X At the doctor, he further diagnosed ultrasound as cirrhosis. At this time, I asked Dr. X about the prognosis and treatment options. He said he may live 14 to 30 days and there is no formal treatment for conventional cirrhosis. Like humans, this is a slow and inevitable death. He said that Dr. Y recommended a natural supplement she believes (milk milk), but he does not necessarily provide any real hope. Dr. Y shared with me that the liver is an organ that can restore vitality, but if the liver damage cannot be repaired, the liver will not be rejuvenated. She ordered milk tarts for me and we started treating Norman liver milk and vitamin E as well as prescription diet foods to treat liver diseases.
I returned home and began to mourn the seemingly 10-1⁄2 inevitable death of a year old Cocker Spaniel. I put Norman in my lap and hug him like tomorrow. I pray to God for a miracle.
"Lord, I thank you for putting Norman in my life. I know that it seems foolish to pray for a dog, but you know how special he is to me and how much I love him. So, I Ask, if this is your will, let him live. If not, I ask you to take him as soon as possible so that he will not suffer. In the name of Jesus, Amen."
I pray in the hands of God , start to study whether there are other things you can do to better care for Norman.
I started to research my computer and search the internet. I found very little, but I found an article that gave me hope. It is called the miracle diet of sunshine. The story of Sunny is very similar to Normans. Sunny has the same symptoms and uses a natural homemade diet. Sunny is still alive 6 months later. This hope prompted me to learn as much as possible about liver diseases, liver cirrhosis, natural diet and liver disease food therapy. All the information I found was fragmentary and one seemed to contradict the other. So I continued to search and bought all the books I could find about natural dog food and natural dog food. One thing became clear. The only treatment for liver disease is through fundamental changes in dietary treatment.
When I collected data and conducted research, Norman had been taking a prescription food for liver disease. I began to notice that Norman's love for new food was growing into a hungry animal that looked like crazy. He seems always hungry and always wants to eat more and more. This was related to me, but it wasn't until I noticed that Norman had reached the extreme of actually eating his own stool.
I decided to seize the opportunity to make the sunshine his miracle diet to allow him to eat instead of prescription diet foods. I don't currently have all the information on natural diets, so I don't know that it's not Norman's "perfect meal." However, I think it must be better than prescription diet foods.
Norman loves home cooking and seems to be very satisfied with it. Although I did allow him to eat more than usual, I did not let him eat until he stopped himself. He does not seem to want to stop. However, I did allow him to eat several bowls of Sunny's miracle diet.
When I started to write research and study about natural diet, I found that there wasn't a book that really had a "perfect meal". I quickly realized that I had no way to determine the "perfect recipe" that I could follow. I will have to hire a dietitian or learn what I need to know and do.
My financial situation is very poor, so I decided to study for myself.
The rest of the book is a compilation of what I learned after more than a year of caring about Norman. I include what I have tried, what I have learned, valid and not. I hope this book will save your dog's life and provide you with everything you need to take care of the dog because of your favorite dog.
As the veterinarian told me that Norman may only live for 14-30 days, trying a different way of food would be worse than doing nothing and letting him die worse. I decided that I had nothing to lose, and I would not sit down and do nothing.
So I did this:
1) Stop using conventional drugs! (Antibiotics, analgesics)
2) Start dose of silymarin support liver (150mg 1 / day)
3) Start dose of vitamin E helps detoxification (400 IU per day)
4 ) Starting dose of Ursodiol added bile acids to aid digestion
5) Starting dose of multivitamins and antioxidants (1/2 daily intake of multiple human vitamins)
6) Stop feeding prescriptions Diet food therapy for liver disease
7) Starting a basic natural diet with a liver diet
8) Three months after the start of the use of distilled water
I entered Norman for follow-up blood tests. I consulted the veterinarian about a natural diet and a sun miracle diet. She disapproved of changing Norman to a natural diet and endured prescription diet foods. I told her I had made the change and stuck with it
She undertook a full blood test to see how Norman was doing. I also doubt she wants to show me some of the flaws in the Norman diet to persuade me to get him back to the prescription diet. The result is back and everything is normal. Three months of natural diet and supplements and Norman returned to normal again!
Norman's liver is likely to remain damaged, but it is rejuvenating, as I hope. My prayer has already been answered. Norman is not just a liver patient, he is still alive!
Once diagnosed with liver disease, it will never recover completely, as if no disease had occurred. Therefore, in my mind, I will never choose to stop natural diets and supplements.
As I look for ways to improve the Norman diet, my research has continued
I continue to find more and more information about liver diseases (human and animal) and how to treat with various alternative therapies, including food Remedy. I started writing a list of all foods that are "good for the liver," and any foods that don't benefit the liver.
Norman begins to develop new symptoms after several months in a natural diet
New Norman symptoms include vomiting undigested food in the middle of the night and waking up every night to let him go out 2 or 3 times, if alone Placement for more than 4 hours will cause accidents as well as diarrhea. At the worst, Norman will not eat, and his stool looks bloody. I saw Norman again to see the vet. She asked him to stay overnight to determine if he had liver failure or other problems. She retired in vitamin B-12 all night and I was there to feed him his natural breakfast the next morning. He ate it and we went home. Norman is better, but he still has many of the same symptoms. He woke me up at night, vomiting undigested food and occasionally diarrhea. I was dissatisfied with my last visit to the veterinarian. So I decided I needed more help with Norman's diet and supplements. I want a vet who will explain his illness to me and provide me with the support I need to improve Norman's diet and illness.
I interviewed a homeopathy veterinarian who no longer practiced conventional medicine. She opened her eyes and looked at the world of homeopathic medicine. We spoke on the phone several times and tried some homeopathic treatments to help Norman stomach upset. However, the outcome of this crisis came from my care, and I noticed that after Normandy's all actions and reactions after each meal
I began the analysis with a scientific method to diagnose what led to Norman's reaction. My hypothesis is that something in his diet caused or contributed to stomach upsets, gas, diarrhea, and vomiting. I just need to figure out what it is. By this time, I had a very complex diet consisting of various meals and supplements. In order to determine what the culprit is, I will have to change only one variable at a time to see if it has any effect on his system.
I did this, insisting on a meal every day for several days to ensure it came out (in the stool) OK. A meal takes 12-16 hours to pass from Norman's system from feeding to droppings. I know this by providing different meals, then watching and timing. For example, carrots are not always completely digested. Feeding carrots at a meal instead of the next one will let you know the time of digestion of the meal.
Three days later, I recorded everything Norman did. When he did, what did he do and what it looked like. I only remove one item from his diet at a time and wait at least one day before removing the next item. In the end, I found the culprit. White rice! Once I removed rice from Norman's diet, everything returned to normal. You have to stick to the same meal for a few days to make sure everything is back to normal.
Since I am still improving Norman's eating habits, I often encounter other things that Norman can't tolerate. I use the same method when trying new products and determine what causes gas, stomach and gastrointestinal problems. I have found that when liver diseases appear, gastro-intestinal problems often occur when diet cannot tolerate new things.
Shortly after the crisis, I received a phone call from a Norman veterinarian. I found a list of Holistic Vet on the Internet and sent a list in my area by email. I called during the crisis and she returned to me after the end. It was hard for her when she called. I asked her many questions and briefly explained Norman's history. I told her I was looking for a veterinarian who would consider other alternative therapies and worked hard with me to use Norman's diet and supplements to help me take care of him as well as possible. Dr. Foster answered all my questions. We arranged a visit to get her back to my house and revisit the Norman case. In order to do this, I need to obtain all of Norman's veterinary records from his former veterinarian. Dr. Foster gave me a good understanding of all blood tests and ultrasound diagnosis.
Liver-specific blood tests:
ALT- is a liver-specific leaking enzyme that is high when the body loses cells [19659002] AST- occurs in the liver and is tested with other livers (ALT, GGT ) Combined determination
bile acids - formed in the liver before excretion in bile
bile acids - synthesis from cholesterol in the liver
Cholesterol - production and synthesis of bile acids in the liver. Low levels may indicate liver disease
GGT- is an enzyme that originates in the liver, combined with other liver tests
Low potassium may indicate chronic liver disease
The most important first step in the treatment of liver disease is Find the reason. Do not know the source of the problem, you are just treating the symptoms. Dr Foster's initial consultation and review of Norman's history not only helped me understand his condition, but also identified some red flags. These red flags are then observed with a 20/20 rearview mirror (perfect vision) and used to determine the optimal treatment plan.
The first major red flag was three months before Norman was diagnosed with liver disease. I took him to clean my teeth and vaccinated each year. A blood test performed before the teeth cleaning showed that he was normal for the liver disease (ALT) test, but he was anemic (low red blood cell count).
Norman's body was bombarded with drugs and chemicals during and after this visit
If Norman's liver has been damaged, all these drugs will push him to the edge. Anemia may be a sign that he is not the best person to do all of this at once.
The next red flag is his gingivitis. Bad teeth and gums produce toxins that are harmful to the liver.
In the end, I couldn't help myself because I had given him NMDAID Rimadyl for more than 2 years every day
This reminds me of the symptoms of scarcity, drooling, and gas that he had neglected for years.
Of course, I also fed him expensive commercial pet food (with rice). Seven years ago, I had taken him into the gas and sensitive stomach, and never even thought that pet food was the problem. I was taught to feed Norman "Good Pet Food" and thought I gave him the best food available.
I don't think I know anything until this happens. I don't know the question. I don't know that drugs can have harmful side effects. I do not know that commercial pet food may contain toxins. I do not know bad breath, drooling and gas are signs of poor health.
All right, now I know. So, I now have questions about all the issues, and I'm also conducting research. I'm educating myself and want to educate other good-natured dog lovers to do the same.
I am not sure what caused the Norman liver disease. However, my conclusion may be due to the long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, untreated gingivitis, food sensitivity (rice), vaccination, elderly and poor diet (not - with healthy commercial pets Combining food), and breeds with a tendency to have liver disease
Now that we know what causes liver disease, Dr. Foster helped me develop the best treatment plan for Norman [19659002]. Foster did her own research and consulted with another overall veterinarian and physician to provide me with additional information. She recommends other supplements and vitamins.
Prescriptions for supplements and vitamins: I listed the brand name and content so that you can find your own source of these supplements and vitamins. There are many variations on different brands, and sometimes they may not include what is claimed on the label. So, stick to using well-known and time-tested brands.
A complete list containing recommended doses has been edited for your use (see Appendix A)
Since I started feeding Norman's homemade dog food, specifically for his liver disease, and added extra supplements Agent and vitamins, he was sick four times. These are related to diet or arthritis. Every time he gets sick, I learn something new about how his diet (intake) affects his system.
I hope I can tell you that it is very simple to develop a perfect diet for Norman, and I did it right for the first time. However, this is not the way it happens.
Instead, I will develop a meal, let Norman eat for a few days or weeks, and observe how he did it. Sometimes the meal is for several days, then he is sick again. I went back to the drawing board to figure out what went wrong and tried again
I don't know if I could say, "I have tried it all." But I "have definitely tried many different recipes last year. [19659002]Now you can study my own courses without having to complete the course yourself
The rest of the book is a compilation and introduction of all my research. Our goal is that you will be able to digest this information quickly and start to Your own homemade diet is combined with a supplement suitable for your dog.As I discovered in Norman, all dogs have no "perfect diet." This is the main reason why a prescription diet for liver disease is not suitable for him. A versatile recipe, you need to do some of your own experiments, I will find the ingredients and recipes for your dog, and I suggest you work with a good veterinarian who believes in using a homemade diet and natural supplements.[19659002] In the first year and a half after Norman's initial diagnosis, he performed very well. The last blood test a month ago came back and everything is still normal. (See Appendix D.) A copy of the blood test report)
Norman also has arthritis in his hips and knees. That's why he took painkillers for a long time. Now that his liver is damaged, he doesn't have any typical painkillers.
about 9 Months later, I started Norman's healthy diet and liver supplements, and he gave me a panic. Norman has always been a greedy diners, excited at dinner, but now he is not just excited. Drooling, panting, crying (howling), not sleeping for more than 2 hours at a time, inhaling food, pacing around the house, hunting cat feces outdoors, and eating
Everything. I tried each Homeopathic treatment of gastritis.I changed my eating habits, increased and decreased the content of protein and fat in his food.I gave him more vitamin C and B12.I gave him Bach's rescue remedy.I fasted him One day, I gave him Gas-X. There was no work
After five days of trying, I knew everything I wanted to try and I took him to see Dr. Foster. We did a blood test and everything was normal. Her guess was that he was very miserable, but we didn't know why.We decided to try an analgesic called Torbutrol.
I gave him medicine and fed him as usual.I let him stay alone for a few hours. When I came back, he had already urinated and stained the house. He lay on the floor as if he could not stand up.His mouth was constantly panting. His hind legs were very weak and he could hardly endure. He left He is very upset and he is not very anxious, he won't sit or lie down, he just keeps walking around or standing in the corner.
I called Dr. Foster and described his condition. Come here (at 9:30 in the evening), but say that even if she does this, she can't do anything until the morning in the clinic. She doesn't think it's a life threat, but I've never seen him show this Uneasy. I am a scared, crazy mother, afraid that this will be the end of Norman. The best thing she told me was to control my emotions because my emotional state affected Norman.
She is right. I am an emotional basket case! I am very worried that he will die. I am in panic. I immediately pray for peace and the health of Norman
Norman and I finally fell asleep, but that was the longest night in my life. Norman got up every few hours and I got up with him. Finally, at 7:30 in the morning, we went to the clinic to see Dr. Foster. She worked with Norman and me as soon as possible. He is still the same. She said he looks very painful. She asked him to do x-rays and other tests at the clinic to figure out what caused the pain.
I left him there and took care of myself. When she got the test results, she called to tell me why he was very miserable. His back hip has severe osteoarthritis, irregular joint surfaces and severe calcified intervertebral discs. Under his age and condition, surgery is not an option. She suggested that I try acupuncture for pain. I took six acupuncture treatments with Norman Acupuncture, but in the end I found that dietary changes and homeopathic remedies for arthritis and pain work best to control pain
If homeopathy does not treat arthritis pain, I will have to give Norman sleeps. He felt very painful. But now, he does a good job. He still lame. But he has no signs of anxiety, crying (barking), restlessness or asthma. He sleeps all night and sleeps all day. It seems very comfortable. He no longer hunts cat feces and waits patiently for feeding
I believe that it works in the form of diets, supplements and homeopathic medicines that substitute for the treatment of liver and arthritis. If they do not, I will not write this book. I know that if they didn't work, I wouldn't have Norman with me today. If I do not believe with all my heart that they are safe for your dog, then I will not recommend them to you.
I hope you find the answer you are looking for, or at least hope to continue looking for a way to help your dog heal. I know if you love your dog as much as Norman, then as long as your dog is not suffering, you will want to know what you can do to make him stay with you.
I pray that you have as much success with your homemade healthy dog food and supplements as I have. I encourage you to ask your veterinary question. Do not try to give up. And, take good care of yourself and your dog. You will feel better because you know that you have done everything possible for your dog.
This treatment has saved the lives of hundreds of dogs in the past 9 years. It works!

“This is vital information that needs to be available for e very pet-lover who has a dog with liver disease. â€
In my 20 plus years as a veterinary practitioner, Iâve treated many cases of liver disease, and Iâveve both both conventional and alternative methods of healing. In these pages, Cyndi Smasal has compiled an excellent Guide to help treat liver disease in dogs, our best friends and companions. And, it's in a great format that will allow readers to download it off the World Wide Web.
I started working with Cyndi and Norman four months Into her alternative treatment. Iâve never never met a more dedicated pet owner. She became a student and now a teacher of alternative veterinary medicine, nutrition, supplements and homeopathic remedies. I have personally seen Norman benefit from her loving care, homemade dog Food and nutritiona l supplements.
The concept of a special diet for liver disease is not a novel one. But in this book, Cyndi addresses the topic from a very personal and truthful level. She has tried the thing that could possibly be helpful for her dog , much more than what sheâ€TMs listed in these pages. She's put all the results of her research into an easy to read, concise book that fills a tremendous need in the pet-lover community.
You will Find her determination inspiring in addition to solid information about a complex disease. This book is by no means the answer to all of your dogâ€TMs needs, but it provides a great start for treating your dog with liver disease in collaboration with a qualified Veterinarian.
This is vital information that needs to be available for every pet-lover who has a dog with liver disease.

By Donna M. Hilbig, M.Ed., L.P.C.
I have been privileged to witness the events described in this book, because of my acquaintances with both the author and Norman, the spunky Cocker Spaniel upon whom this book is based. In the following pages you, too, will sense the depths of the relationship between this dog and his human. From the beginning, it was obvious that he claimed her heart, and they belong to one another.
Being a “cat person,†it was a foreign concept to hear someone say they have to go straight home after work, “because Norman is by himself.†Seeing a dog sit and sleep in a person’s lap in the same way a cat does was mind-boggling to me. But all it took was one incident of Norman having an irritation of his “third eyelid†to understand that these tw o were connected in a way beyond my sensory ability. There were tears of frustration, because Norman was suffering and Cyndi wanted to help him feel better. “He doesn’t complain unless he’s really feeling bad,†she said. I went over to help as she gently rinsed his eye, and he was better. In time, I would see for myself that Norman truly is a very happy dog with a very loving personality.
Norman is also a very communicative dog. He smiles as he pants when he’s happy. And he actually “frowns†when he realizes Cyndi is going somewhere but he’s not invited. Granted, Cyndi hates having to leave him and has often fantasized out loud about taking him to work with her! So, when he’s sick, it’s very easy to tell. Norman just isn’t his normal, happy, playful self.
When he was diagnosed with liver disease, it was almost as if he had already died. He was very uncomfortable from having a swollen belly, and Cyn di just couldn’t stand to see him suffer. Amazingly, the swelling went down quickly. Then, something more amazing happened. The woman I knew as a very skilled Quality Assurance Engineer in the computer programming industry began to approach Norman’s medical condition as if it were “defective software.†She put her analytical skills to work overtime, believing that there was an eventual solution.
I was a witness to a miracle in progress as she tried one intervention after another. After each effort, she would develop a “new and improved†process. Through it all, Norman’s blood tests just got better and better! Today, if it weren’t for his debilitating arthritis, Norman would easily be mistaken for a two-year old puppy. He is truly a special dog, and he has chosen a very special human with whom to share his life.
Even though Cyndi is Norman’s “provider,†he has given her just as much, if not more. Toget her, they have learned to love unconditionally and to roll on the ground just for the pure joy of it. Norman’s philosophy of life is “smell everything, lick as if your life depends on it, wear your heart on your sleeve â€" then it’s easier to get to when it’s hurting, always express your feelings, and forgive every time you’re asked.†Sounds like a great way to live!

"Cyndi,
I just wanted to quickly thank you for writing such an amazing book. Your story made me feel like I was not alone in my craziness, as my Papillion Kenzie was told she would not live through the night on Nov 11th from liver failure. After reading everything I could, and reading nothing but contradictory information, I was lost and confused. I also was not going to sit back and watch her die. You gave me hope. I am writing this with Kenzie in my lap on January 14th 2015. She made it through the holidays and is pushing through thanks to your advice and menu options. I don't know how many days I have left with her, but I know you have given me special moments I would have never had. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I have attached a picture of my Kenzie :)" -

"Hello Cyndi,
I have attached a dog picture of my 15 (almost 16) year old chihuahua named Bud. He was diagnosed with liver problems almost 9 years ago. The first sign he was sick was the vomiting. He also would hide under our bed and no amount of coaxing would get him to come out, not even his favorite snacks. When we took him to the vet, they we're not sure why his liver enzymes were so elevated. A lot of tests and money later, the only thing they could tell me was his liver was a poorly functioning liver, probably from birth, and it was on a micro vascular level. Not a lot they could do. Fortunately, I had a vet that was willing to try several different approaches including supplements and diet changes. I found your book online, and was willing to give anything a try. I printed all the information that you provided, and took it to my vet to make sure it was the right way to go. The vet looked things over and said anything we could try would be helpful. Without doing something, my dogs enzymes were skyrocketing so fast, she felt he had only a matter of months left. So, I started on your food list, continued the supplements the vet had already given me, and added milk thistle per your information, and am so happy to say that almost 9 years later, our baby is doing well. I'm so thankful we have gotten all of the extra time to spend with him, and to my husband and I (who are childless), everyday is a blessing. He's now older and having some issues with age, but on the whole is doing really well. And age related problems are expected at this time in his life, instead of seeing a young dog wither away as he was. So, I know this is lengthy, but I wanted to take an opportunity to thank you for all the information you provided online. Hopefully, it will continue to help dogs and their heartsick owners.
Thanks so much!" -

"Hi Cyndi I wanted to leave you a well over due big thank you well actually 4 years overdue! Where do I begin well nearly 4 years ago in 2010 our world came crashing down, our beautiful little cheeky chappy Cocker Spaniel Charlie who had been full of life suddenly from nowhere with no warning like your dear Norman and all the other little fur babies classic symptoms after all the usual tests the dreaded Liver Diseases had been diagnosed and we were told that Charlie had only a few months to live! We were told there was nothing could be done and that all we could do is enjoying him while he is here with us. They put him on lots of terrible medications also high dose steroids and some disgusting prescription food that was not suitable for Charlie because it had far too much high fat in it he then got Pancreas problems then kidney problems which made him far worse. I felt I could not stand around any longer and just watch someone I loved suffer and wait for him to die I had to do something myself so I searched the internet to be honest I didn't know what I was searching for? But I just knew there had to be something then there it was! That connection I was searching for ‘Hope for Healing Liver Disease in Your Dog’ after reading a small sample of your book .The connection was the story of Norman. I bought your book, and it was the best thing I did! After a full night of reading we went back to the vet taking the this book with us armed with all the great information and now with new HOPE we presented the vet your amazing book showing recipe’s and ideas advice and from then Charlie has been off all the medications except for his milk thistle and multi Vitamins he has a wonderful variety of food from your book. The vet kept my book for three weeks with the hope of helping other dogs and was ordering one herself. The Vet calls him the little miracle dog! I tell everyone about your book when people ask about Charlie. Thank you Cyndi From my heart to yours thank you XXXX"

"Two years ago my beloved dog was sent home to die when her liver began failing after a series of emergency surgeries and heavy medication. Our vets held out no hope for us. I found this book online and started the basic protocul Cyndi outlines. Today our vets are astounded, her liver values are almost back to the normal range and her health continues to improve. I cannot stress enough how important this book is for dealing successfully with - and surviving - liver disease and liver-related conditions."

"Hi Cyndi,
I downloaded your e-book last Friday after receiving the diagnosis of cirrhosis of the liver in our 5 year old cocker spaniel, Tanner. You don't know how much hope you have given my family with your extensive research. I am so glad I came across your website. I was in such despair Thursday after Tanner's ultrasound and  the internal medicine Dr's prognosis. My husband and I refer to your book often and call it our "bible". We wonder if Norman was at all picky about some of the vegetables and new textures at first? Tanner doesn't seem to like tofu, even with chicken broth on it. I guess we will resort to the granules.  I know I will have many more questions to ask and observations to share with you, but I just wanted to drop a quick note and thank you for helping all of us who feel so helpless with our best friend's health concerns."

It's been over 10 years since my dog Norman was sick and I was taking care of him. My little book has lived on to tell the story and help save many dogs. I have received so many emails and letters about how the information in my book saved their dog's life. It makes me cry every time I read about another dog whose life was saved by the information I wrote in my book. This is why I wrote it in the first place. I had to do hundreds of hours of research and buy dozens of books to learn everything about liver disease and how to treat it. I put this book together so other dog owners wouldn't have to do all the work that I had to do to save my dog's life.
Things have changed since I wrote my book in 2003. Thankfully other alternative treatments have been created to specifically treat this disease. It's much easier to treat liver disease now. Your chances of saving your dog's life are much greater. But there are still many options and how do you know what to do and what will work. There's much more information out there than there used to be. But some of it is conflicting. Some Vet's still support the same traditional treatment that doesn't work as well. Others have made steps in the right direction. But my book still has the most comprehensive information and treatment that actually works in many cases. In fact many of the websites out there are just taking the information from my book.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you take on healing your dog from this deadly disease. Whether you buy my book or not, I hope you are successful in saving your dog's life.
